The Second Team recorded their 1st win of the season with an impressive bowling and fielding display.
Dice won the Toss and elected to field on a sunny day in North Somerset. It wasn't long before the young JP and Rex machine were into their work with Rex snicking off the opener to the Skipper Dice who was behind the stumps. After a few lusty blows from the number 3 JP had his Name in the book clean bowling the batter. Lodway were just on top after 10, Barker and Tank then came into the attack both with amazing spells drying the runs up completely giving the Home side very little to score from. Pressure began to build on the Batters taking a risky single to the Bean Machine who hit one stump from inside the circle top send the opener on his way. The 2 impressive youngsters both put in quality spells
SB 5 overs for 13 runs very much deserving of a wicket. Tank bowled 5 overs 1-4 after sending the skipper on his way trapping the Home Captain LBW with a slower ball. After drinks It was a feeding frenzy for the sharks The skipper Dice picked up another 3 bag bowling some slow accurate spin picking up 2 LBW's Although right under the flight path for Bristol Airport we can confirm no Easy jet flights were delayed during this spell.
George Hardwell Lodways newest Recruit Picked up a wicket with an absolute worldie catch from Young tank with an outstretched 1 handed diving effort which unfortunately was just out of shot of the live stream. Captain Dice picked the final wicket with Hardwell taking a fine catch at Long Off Finishing with 3-13.
At Tea the Rain swept in But not enough to effect the game. Deano and Dice opened up and give the Home Team nothing in the 1st 10 overs
Slowly working their way to the small total of 93 to win. D and D put on a partnership of 80 for the 1st wicket Deano out for 39 and Dice then was out for a patient 26. The Bean Machine hit a belter through extra before getting caught at Long On. Fraser hit the winning runs to see the sharks home.
